I frequently get an error message when trying to send a Gmail, specially if it's replying to one:

"Oops... a server error occurred and your email was not sent. (#007)"

Just over the last month or so, and apparently at random. It won't save these emails as drafts, either.

Anyone know what's happening, or what I might do about it? (I have Hotmail and other email accounts but would prefer to use Gmail.)

There are various suggestions here, including: (a) simply log out of Gmail and log back in again ; (b) clear the cache and cookies from your browser ; and (c) if you're using Internet Explorer, use a different browser https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/gmail/2RPrrWUUYzg Perhaps trying each of them might lead you to a solution?

Morning all
Raining and dreary but quite mild.
Why do you have to pay Brexit tax Neti ?
Btw I've sent you a link so that you watch Us ,the one with Tom Hollander and Saskia Reeves as you said you can't get it on IPlayer.

I'm sure we'll all be paying a Brexit tax, shaney. The storm is holding off till tomorrow, so the window sills are looking good, though relaying the driveway will have to wait till Storm Alex and FEROCIOUS GALES have passed.
Thank you shaney. I've replied.
We have to pay a police tax so we can apply for non EU residents card
We had the downpours yesterday and not looking forward to the rest of the week. Tortoises are indoors in the spare room, hopefully they can go out again once the storming is over. I have got the app, wouldn't be bothered by extra pings so long as I knew that they were spurious ones although I am not likely to be going anywhere anyway. nothing else of note happening here.

it didn't rain at all today so all the outside work has been completed. Some of the indoor work too, so it's pretty chilly as we had to have all the doors and windows open to let the paint smell out. Same again tomorrow, when I expect the rain will arrive.
Woofy, I'll switch the app on tomorrow when I brave the elements and report back.
We had such a nice dinner today. Brisket done in the slow cooker roast pots, veg and yorkie puds. Proper winter warmer and I tucked in and ate far too much too late in the evening,so I'm off to bed to sleep it off.
Night all.Sleep tight.
Ceiling now being skimmed. Then he has ton do the dining room one! Hate living with all this disruption and mess!
I overindulged in English treats yesterday and had a dicky tummy all night
That'll teach me!
Stuck in bedroom again this morning but as it's quite wintry out I dont mind!!

we are all painted and dried out and hopefully the damp has gone rather than just been painted over and we can start to tidy things up properly. The house has been a total mess for more than a year (as not everyone agrees with me on the necessity of doing something about it).

I suppose it will all need doing again in a few years - we spent 20 years with no signs of the house settling, but now it's heaving and subsiding all the time and there were cracks everywhere.
its odd you should say that Jno. Our house is built on floats so when the clay moves, the house just rides up and down but nowadays the patios don't last and I have given up trying to keep the bolts and padlock fittings level on the back gate. I just fasten it closed with reusable cable ties. You'd think the masses of rain we have had would balance out the dry spells but nope.
Your window sills look fabulous Jno:)
I hope the rest of you are behaving as I can see clearly now the blur has gone. Very pleased with my new specs and the app was whizzing round on my phone. No pings as yet. Mind you the place is like a ghost town, hardly anyone about and there was only one other customer in Specsavers.Nice to get out in the fresh air though even it was only for a short walk.
Looks like we're getting plenty of rain overnight and it's very windy again. The hatches are battened down so I'm going to have an early one.Night all.Sleep well.
night all, night Shaney, its persisting down here.

you can see them gleaming from space, shaney.

Our neighbourhood is built on farmland, about 1910. However, there's a detailed OS map from 1890 or thereabouts, and when you line it up with Google maps we're right on the farm pond. The ground was dry as a bone for our first 10 years or so, then, I don't know, a source reopened or the neighbours concreted their back yard or it rained more or something, but all of a sudden the ground got a lot wetter. I suppose it's since then the house has been really moving around and cracking.
So much for going up early. Can't sleep so I've made a mug of Ovaltine and bought a case that holds two pairs of glasses.
This house which is on a very long road was built on farmland round about 1932/33 but the actual road was put through in 1923. My Mum and Dad could remember it as farmland when they were young.
The house we had in Lower Morden was on built floats as it was on a flood plain which had been a mixture of farmland and wetland where they used to graze cattle . It never flooded though and any very heavy rain was caught in the flood meadow which was between the brook and the Merton and Wandsworth cemetery.
All the land round there including Morden Hall Park was owned by the Hatfield family who left it to the National Trust in the 40's.

And now to start on the dining room ceiling. Its been like this for a while as there had been a leak but the leak has been mended so he has to do it. and put in new lights. Lounge is nice but not cleaning much until dining room is done as it connects to lounge.
The while Mr N was making a roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings I cleared out the dining room in readiness dor tomorrow. Sinner things all washed up and put away and I am now in bed watching Us thanks to Shaney
I've put it onto an USB stick and email playing up.
What? and I havent been drinking! Dinner not sinner

Just cold and damp today. Could be worse

Jno that's interesting about your old pond. When we moved in here, there was a stream running through the gardens that back onto ours. I guess it dried up and/or the owners filled it in because we ended up with a situation where in heavy rain, a SHEET of water would run down our side of the fence from garden to garden. on odd occasions it would be too much for the rain drain at the front to take away. If I didn't keep the gaps under the fence and so on clear, it would build up in the garden next to mine. Then a couple of years ago when my neighbour was relandscaping his garden, he found a hole. it was right in the corner where the fence between his garden and mine meets the fence of the gardens that back onto ours....there is no drainpipe or anything structural, its just a hole. He now keeps the hole open and all the excess rainwater runs into it. Goodnes knows where it goes but its solved a massive problem!
Appointments for Brexit on 15th! Had photos taken today and I.look absolutely dreadful. They wont allowed to stay!! Be so glad when it is over and done with!

this is the map site I used, woofgang, using the overlays feature at the bottom. If the hole in your garden is big enough to swallow a house it will probably show up on one of them.
