IE message

Every time I open a new AB page using IE I get a message across the bottom of the screen saying " Internet Explorer has modified this page to help prevent cross-site scripting. "
To get rid of it I have to manually close it................can I stop this message appearing?

Don't know. I get it too, and I have been wondering what it meant, for a start. Will be interested to see if anyone knows - our technical experts should.

There is a FAQ about cross site scripting, which isn't too technical, at http://www.cgisecurity.com/xss-faq.html

What it all comes down to is that some sites which deliver dynamic content may have security holes in their scripts which allow someone else to get at content on your computer that they shouldn't be able to access, or to infect your machine with some form of malware.

The message just means that IE has altered some of the code on the page you are looking at to reduce the likelihood of you being affected by that kind of security hole.

That link just seemed like the least technical explanation I could find, and the summary is just my interpretation of it. But I'm sure someone properly techie will be along tomorrow to give you a better one :-)

It is an IE9 thing (the question has come up before on AB) and catsrcool posted a link to a Microsoft site which tells you how to turn off the filter in this thread http://www.theanswerb.../Question1022199.html

I'm sure you can switch that off in Advanced settings.
