I changed my windows 7 for windows 10 the other day,looked at the content that they had on Windows 10, but when I went back to my plain laptop screen I noticed my icons had disappeared and don't know why?????

The clue to the solution was when you listed the menu items that you could see when right-clicked on the task bar and you saw the option 'show touch keyboard'. You only get that option when you set your desktop to 'Touch Screen' mode which disables the normal desktop icons view!
