Police Unlawfully Seize Property
so I am trying to sue the police. I just got release from prison and while I was incarcerated I intiated a civil summons and criminal complaint against the police. the officers took my vehicles so I fought for it back in court the judge entered an order to return the vehicles. when my family got the car in question(because I was still in jail) the car had been stripped of all the electronics. there was about 5,000 in stereo equiptment gone and damage to the vehicle from the removal of these items. I have all the receipts and even affidavits from the store that installed the equiptment. I also took pictures of the damage and missing holes in the car. So,like I said I've filed the summons and have not heard a word in like 2yrs. so I believe I tipped the court off on the action that should have been taken when I wrote a letter inquirering about the case. shortly thereafter I received an ORDER DISMISSING FOR LACK OF PROSECUTION. the order dismissed the summons without prejudice so I can pick it back up right? so that is where I am at now and would like to get the money for my property as it has been roughly 4yrs since it was seized, 3yrs since the judge ruled the property should be returned and the order dismissing was entered july 23, 2015 can someone please contact me or help me get my property back. I live in Kentucky. thank you sooo much
