Hopefully this is an easy one
In my room therea an aerial socket, with the wire...but its missing the connector jack for me to attach the tv aerial etc
Is this a simple DIY job, I can do? Or is it best to get a guy in

To add to Chris's answer...
There is no chance that you can damage anything if you get it wrong, it just won't work. So you've got nothing to lose by trying yourself

It's not normally necessary to solder the centre pin unless you are in a low signal area, you can normally get away with just cutting the excess centre core of the cable off level with the connector once fitted.

I agree that Maplin's website can be nearly as confusing as Microsoft's website. (Oh, hang on though, NOTHING is anywhere near as bad as Microsoft's website!). However I think that you'll find, from JD's post, that he lacks a plug or socket on the end of his aerial cable, so he wouldn't have anything to plug that lead into.
