An internet (or web) browser is the single most important tool when it comes to surfing the magnificent creation that is the internet. A web browser can store your favourite pages, protect you from adverts and spam and generally make your surfing experience a safe and pleasurable one.

There are a number of leading web browsers available for free download, released by the likes of Microsoft and Google. Each browser essentially does the same thing, but will have certain features that differ from other web browser clients.

For example, the browser Mozilla Firefox boasts that it is the safest browser to use as it has a large number of security measures to keep your computer safe from spam and viruses.

If you use a PC for your computing needs then Microsoft Internet Explorer should already be installed. If you use a Macintosh computer then you will automatically have Safari set as your default browser.

In the end it comes down to personal preference and design. Some might opt for the water-tight security and others may gun for a flashy aesthetics, either way, the web browser if very important when it comes to enhancing your surfing experience.
