Friend is going to New York next week on a shopping spree. Have asked her to bring me a coat from "Abercrombie Kids". Googling maps all their stores seem to be well outside NY itself. Can anyone tell me if there is an Aber store nearer the centre of NY. Hope someone out there will have some knowledge. Thanks in advance.

There is an Abercrombie store on 5th Avenue.
There`s a massive Abercrombie on 5th Avenue. Is Kids a stand alone store or is it incorporated? Lucky her, she`ll catch the Thanksgiving sales.
Sorry, I didn't read the "kids" part! The store on 5th avenue is massive, I'm sure there is a kids section in there but I can't be 100% positive. Sorry x
Their website is very poor for info isn't it, we went to NYC just before xmas about 5 years ago, the queues to get in that shop were unbelievable, during opening hours aswell!
I bet it's like Next in that there will be a child section in the main store.
Been racking my brains and yes, there are stand alone Abercrombie Kids stores because there`s one in Tysons Corner, Washington (one of my shopping haunts). You`re right, there doesn`t seem to be one in Manhattan. Your only hope will be if there`s a section in the 5th Avenue store.
If really desperate, you can get a bus from Port Authority Bus Terminal/NYC (Academy Bus Line) to Lewis Street, Eatontown, New Jersey, then a cab to Monmouth Mall.

Thanks to all that answered.
Are you sure this is fair on your friend? How long is she going for? If it's just for a few days you may well be asking her to take time out of her busy itinerary to go to somewhere that's not even on her schedule. She then has to account for the weight of the coat in her luggage when she comes home, what if this would take her over her weight allowance? Would you be prepared to pay any excess baggage allowance? It may also take her over her duty free allowance, depending on what else she buys over there (there is a limit of £390 worth of goods that can be brought in duty free). Again, if she goes over this limit would you be willing to pay the excess duty? Then what happens if the coat doesn't fit? Would you hold her responsible if if was, for example, too small? I would double check with your friend that you are not asking too much of her.
