what a wonderful spectacle that was the opening ceremony we haven't let these terrorists win which is more important than the game. i am typing this with the game 27 mins old so far a good open game. vivre la france and long live england!!!

^^^ Oui, vive la France. I wish I were clever enough to post some of the emails I have received from friends in France. Most of them contain the words 'au couer profonde' (from deepest heart) and are hugely appreciative of our support.

Frau Merkel missed out on her evenings entertainment in Hanover tonight.
She now has spare time to contemplate that two Schengen signatory countries (Belgium and Germany) have cancelled/abandoned their friendly soccer matches due to extreme security problems.
Meanwhile a non Schengen signatory country ramps up the security a tad and carried on with the game.
Who got it wrong Frau? The last tin pot Corporal who proclaimed himself Chancellor led his Reich to ruin also !!
Will lessons be learnt in Europe? Lets exit ASAP.
