Any time that I travel from the UK to the Republic of Ireland to go camping I always take cooked and raw foodstuffs which I have bought and prepared in Northern Ireland.
There is no border control. The only time controls were (very, very loosely) inforced was during the outbreak of foot and mouth disease in 2001.

Hi Mrsann you arent supposed to take it in but like luckystrike says there is no control to get through so you will be fine. I used to take sausages, black pudding, cheese and stuff from Edinburgh to Dublin and vice versa on a plane and never had any bother. Hope you have a lovely time and it doesnt rain too much for you !
