Misdirect Email
3 Answers
Dter has received email about mother's care in a hospital. Seems the dter is making a claim for negligence.
Our names are the same but its nothing to do with me, nor my local hospitals. Its a non-returnable email but the hospital is in Manchester. Ive tried phoning but after an hour pressing 1,2,3,4 etc & holding, am bored.
Should I ignore?

Find a 'general' address for the hospital from their website (such as enquiries@so mehospital.c o.uk or admin@thegro vehosp.org). Then forward to mis- delivered mail to that address, with a covering note to explain what's happened.

say for example it is CMFT
which you will realise actually IS a hospital in Manchester
the nhs tag is ...... cmft.nhs.uk
and you only have to work out whether there is an operative there who will listen to you. There is - the CEO - steve mycio - he doesnt much like getting emails from me to be honest and if you look at email structure for real people on the CMFT site it is always christianname.surname
so steve's is: [email protected]
whilst you are about it - in your script say that his systems should identify the different john smiths - and what if you had been called for chemotherapy ? It all depends on how passed off you are.
Also allege breach of confidentiality - that will wake him up
If it is David Dalton ( Sir, that is currently busy screwing the junior doctors but he doesnt work week ends of course only the underlings do ) then go thro the same process for Hope ( or salford royal or whatever they call it nowadays ) using their site
and no you should not ignore
as they will count it as 'sent' and will take action ( like refuse to see or remove from waiting list ) if there is no answer
erm I have run out of the names of CEOs at Manchester hospitals
