Kate, they sell something like that in Argos, not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for.
If you google cherry stone hot water bottle, you'll find the thing I've been using for the last fifteen years. It's about a foot square, like a large beanbag, I wouldn't be without it.

I bought 2 hotties for a friend on Amazon - she didn't know how to purchase. She says they are amazing.
