I've been today and bought three of these deals, two have gone in the freezer and one will be eaten tomorrow. The wine has just been added to my wine collection...can't really call it a cellar.
It's all grouped together, very easy, very cheap and very tasty. I'm only a very recent convert but am now hooked.
I've not tried an M&S meal deal but am determined to give them a go. Tomorrow I'm going to go and see what they have to offer as they do seem to be excellent value whether everything is co-located or not.
Eccles that was my point that it is excellent value do if you have to hoke about a bit then do so!!
At some of the bigger stores you may find it a bit of a scrum as its so popular so sharpen your elbows before you go!
I think the simply food shops are less frantic but even so, it's worth joining the scrum. What I like is that it gives variety to your normal diet and I think is better value and better for you than, say, a takeaway. And who can complain about a bottle of wine included!
From what I can see what sets the M&S offering apart from the rest is that they are including proper cuts of meat and fish as part of the deal whereas other supermarkets seem to offer ready meals.

I will sharpen my elbows and head out early tomorrow.......
Early is good....
Sometimes the main can be a really nice roast chicken, in a tray with roasting bag.

If you get there at the right time you can get a pretty big bird, labelled over £7 on its own.
Eccles....not had a Waitrose Meal Deal then? Recent ones have included large ranch steak, sea bass, chicken etc...IMO better than M&S. Recently, we had £19.50 value for a tenner (included were some £7.99 wines!).
