Most of the young kids I know have mobile phones - they (in age) range from perhaps 9 upwards.

Now can these kids get into "bad" sites or can their parents put a "curb".

If they can access the sites I truly think it awful as children are curious etc.

As a Parent or Guardian , the best you can do is be open and discuss what the dangers are on any device - talk, educate and give them some trust.

Also up to a certain age the phone etc is also accessible by the adult at a moments notice.

We can never truly keep them from harm , we can only try.
When I was a young boy back in the 50's and early 60's, access to any kind of pornography was completely unknown.

The only incident that I can recall is the famous Lady Chatterley affair. Copies of this book had the strange knack of always landing with the same open, if you threw it up in the air in the playground.

But nowadays, its very different. You can find anything you want within a few mins of turning any kind of computer on. I am not a parent but I despair at the difficulties that they face these days.
Kids tend to be more techy than their parents so putting locks on can be pretty useless.

We just need to educate our kids.
