That it has now released finance to allow it ti continue and this is insufficient to achieve what was hoped has been reported in a few places. The TV news was showing empty seats implying lack of interest. I'd guess the BBC news site probably has information. (I think Channel 4 probably did their best to put folk off.)

They robbed Peter to pay Paul by transferring money from the paralympics fund to the Olympics proper because they didn't have enough coming in from attendances etc.
