I,ve been told I cam watch football on BT Sports for free. Anyone know how it works? I have a free-view box.

Do you have BT broadband? If not I can't see how it could be legally free if that's what you want- except that the BT showcase channel on freeview sometimes shows a match

As F-F indicates, there are just a few live matches available free of charge throughout the season.

You can get BT Sport lite or pay for it and get more BT Sports.

You can get it on the app or on Sky. Costs more if you're not a BT subscriber.

It may be that if a family member has BT sports subscription you can get it on the BT equivalent of sky go

Or if you wanted to watch it illegally ( which I am sure you don't) then google a Kodi Box.
