depends on the condition and clarity of the laminate. If it is in good order there should not be much loss of quality.
Photocopies always come out worse than the original and never better. you can't add quality that wasn't there to start with.

They usually come out in a lesser quality. I haven't seen a really good copy of laminated documents.

they usually come out bad. i tried once and it was really useless. scan them and get a print out.

Errr, so what's a photocopy then?
If you do a scan you can use Photoshop and clean it up!
You can't polish a turd tho .. : )
