Cat Scratching Post

Yes another question so I get used to site lol. But a genuine question. My cat will not use her scratching post- she uses everything else! Door mats, carpet, etc.... I've put toys on it with catnip in, I've literally lifter her up and put her nxt to it but she just walks away. Is there anything else I can put on it to encourage her or is it just a lost cause?

I think that you can get Catnip spray too.

Have you tried changing its location?

Yes I've moved it all around downstairs to no avail - even putting it on the rugs that she scratches on! Didn't know you could get powdered catnip - thankyou!

In my house it's a lost cause. When we had a carpet fitted I put the left over bits in the downstairs toilet and that was the problem solved.

mia scratches on one of those non slip plastic backed door mats..carpet like surface..sprinkle the catnip on that..!
