I saw this on the news sometime today, and it looks promising, with no waste if you use it (i dont), but cant find anything on Google etc.

Anybody see it, as its a kinda joke for my son.

...DOESN'T...
LIKE I _+'*_&++- WELL TYPED !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember my dad saying Colmans made their money from what people left on the plate.

I'm slightly annoyed by the bits of Marmite I can't quite get out of the jar.

Is the ketchup thing in the OP a joke? Why didn't they think of that before?
mikey and cloverjo,
Did you know that you can get squeezy Marmite now?

No Jo. As per Chris' link, it's a coating to the inside of the container. Had to be invented rather than just thought of.
But you have a point that the container would no longer benefit from being squeezy.
The manufacturers will do well out of this. I can imagine that people will be using far more of the product than they intended to. There will be plates swimming in ketchup and brown sauce.
Always has been Tilly, if there are kids in the house.
Well, there is that, 1ozzy. :-)
when my marmite jar is nearly empty I put it in the cupboard upside down then next time I want to use it i get a good dollop in the lid and an empty jar xx
I bet the people who work at the recycling plants will be pleased with this. They must have to handle some really gunky stuff. Empty, clean bottle will be a bit better for them.
With the exception of mayonnaise, I always rinse out jars, bottles etc into soups/stews/gravy as appropriate. It's not rocket science!
I think its disgusting that people put unwashed bottles and jars in the recycling. Its not difficult to give them a quick rinse when you've finished washing up.
