Am watching Shawshank Redemption and when it first aired here in my house my bro was home from England and he asked me when the guy Tim escaped down the hole via Raquel Welch etc - how was he (Tim) able to put the poster back on the wall.
just got out of bed to see answers LOl - Anne it was Raccy. LOL
Yes it was good memories of the bro - thanks PP. And that reminded me of a time I had made him some Irish stew - he was eating in dining room and I (my house) me, my, myself LOl - changed TV over to a channel I wanted to see before I left to go to work.
Up he got hollering "I was watching the other channel". Me Excusez Moi - this is my home.
First time ever - sorry Jenny for shouting. First time any of my bros apologised - 4 of them very fiery Irishmen.
My last bro and I were living together after mum died. After a cuppla years I asked for a raise in the housekeeping. He was giving me £8 a week - I wanted a raise to £12. Well he cracked up and said no way hosay and continued to leave me £8 - says I to myself. You can shove it up your foreign costume and refused to lift the money.
I then stopped groceries, washing ironing.
One night he came in with a few jars on him - he went to the cupboard and proceeded to take out baked beans.
Myself "Ahh ahh ahhh - they're my beans". Oh for Jaysus sake I will give you your £12.00 "Success" LOL
I love the Shawshank Redemption, and also queried how he got the poster back up. The original story by Stephen King was called 'Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption' so my memory fills in the poster with Rita Hayworth.
I always get mixed up with Racquel Welsh and Bo Derek for some reason, so if I were to watch the film again now, I probably still wouldn't know who it was, unless it was actually RH.
I'm glad you have lovely memories of your brother, JennyJoan.
