Well was unhappy with the matt finish - so today I am going over walls with vinyl silk.
There are tiny drops of it on the floor - it is a bit difficult to remove with warm water and I have used a little turps - is there anything quicker. Sorry for being on chatterbank but know it will be answered quickly.
I've seen my neighbour use fairy liquid and one of those scratchy pad cleaners to get paint off her floors and wherever she splashes it, I don't decorate, I leave it to the professionals so can't help from personal experience sorry Jenny :) I like matt myself - pity you weren't happy with it
if on hard wood /vinyl let id dry hard and use the sharp edge of a blade to lift of being careful to moved horizontal and don't dig down..if you get my drift...then a wipe with that green mat stuff with detergent
Snowball - no he done the hall stairs and landing.
He wasn't able to come back to do living room which hadn't been touched in years so I have tackled it myself - I haven't painted in 35 years - I did use the matt paint on Saturday but there were some areas that needed to be touched up so today I bought vinyl silk and covering the matt - it is coming up a treat.
Thanks to all who replied. I used hairdryer on the little flecks and they washed off. They were on wooden floor.
You know what I am finding painting very therapeutic and calming. Must do this every 6 months. Yea, right!
I can't believe I am able to do this after breaking my collar bone and shoulder blade in February.
Mind you after Saturday's 8am-5pm for just the living room as I had used a brush wasn't able to walk too well yesterday LOL but am using a roller today and am not too bad using it.
MM - sure the wee animal never lets me out of his sight. Where I go he goes but I keep doors shut and it is a nice day today so he wanders out to back from kitchen. I am just taking a wee break here.
