Going to the theatre is becoming ridiculously expensive. London seats are not far off New York prices now. By comparison £18.50 for the cinema seems good value. Down here it's only about a fiver which is dead cheap.
I go periodically usually with a large group of friends, but it's not something I do every single week, and as Ivor says there isn't a lot you can't stream, so I can see why he'd prefer to spend his money on something else, but euqally it's not so much if it's something you're desperate to see. x
I've not been to the Cinema since the mid eighties - my family including Grandchildren go often though - they use a season pass of some sort.

They aren't ill mannered, scrotes (disgusting word) nor do they use their phones - they go to watch the film.
"Thats 14 hours of uninterupted entertainment, that's value for money."

Superb value. £8 an hour (more than the minimum wage) to trudge around a field watching some other blokes trudge around the same field.

There's a lot more to golf than that, New Judge.
The chance to dress like a 1920s American college student and join in the traditional chorus of 'in the hole' are just two that spring to mind. :)
