Hopefully a tsunami will wash Great Yarmouth away, the pits of E.Anglia by a beachfront mile. Gorleston will survive as it's up on the cliff.

I live near GY.The council couldn't run a booze up in a brewery.
The town is a disgrace,derelict shops and very run down.Most of the council members are business people,hoteliers etc who only have their own interests at heart.
They waste money hand over fist.
As for one of that motley crew of UKIP councillers becoming an MP...Don't make me laugh.We already have Brandon Lewis as our MP and he's the biggest joke going.
He's more interested in furthering his parliamentary career than doing much for the people of GY.
Even the staunch Brexiteers and UKippers round here don't like him.

Why do you think these people have defected back to the Tories.There's no support for them any more, locally.They've achieved what they set out to do.
They should stand down and stand for re-election and let the voters decide.There is no way any one of these UKIP hicks from the sticks would ever get a seat in Westminster.

Well … yes .... I do. It’s ludicrous to suggest that people elected to local councils automatically end up as MPs. They just don’t.
