>>>If I wish to share information with someone I send them an email.
Oh dear.
When telephones were invented they took them to the companies who ran the telegraph system and they turned down telephones and said "if I want to contact someone I will use the telegraph system".
Technology moves on.
My daughter was in Australia for a year recently and she posted hundreds of photos of her trip on Facebook that we (her parents) could see as well as all her Facebook friends.
Try doing that with emails!
Why do you think over 2 billion people in the world have Facebook accounts.

Facebook is a useful communications tool, when used sensibly. By this, I mean people should only follow those who they know in real life. They should have their accounts locked down, and not share anything that might compromise their security.
Criticism of Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat etc can also be directed at the telephone postal mail and email...all of which have been absused beyond their original intent.

When you say that this sess [sic] pit should be regulated, do you mean that messages sent between users of Facebook should be scanned? Who would be in charge of that? Facebook, the police or am as yet unnamed third party?
Do you think that encryption algorithms should be disabled on messenging apps, such as Facebook Messenger, Snapchat and WhatsApp?
If so, how do you propose that I can send a mail to my accountant, say, without peer-to-peer encryption?
Or were you thinking of some other form of regulation?
