Thank you, Gness. Breathe in!
Are you watching me gness? I've just been onto YouTube looking at that very video?
Question Author
Toorak, I didn't realise you were a bird watcher too.
Yes - though not an expert!

Nor me. :-)
I think you know a lot more than me - i’m a novice
Know how you feel, LB....I think.....maybe I'll look at some new moisturiser later......and immediately Amazon sends me an email offer for moisturiser..... :-(

No expert either by a long way....but it's the most fascinating and pleasant hobby.....and as Tilly knows....you can meet nice men by gates..... ;-)
One solitary Waxwing in the SE. Lots of Hawfinch.
Beautiful video gness, thank you
The red kites have moved nearer and now fly over my garden occasionally.
Not one here, Jake....but a fleeting visit from two hawfinches one day......that's all......x

Beautiful to watch, Sherr....MrG and I followed their re-introduction at Fineshade......I have a memorial bench at the site where we watched them....
When I was sitting on the patio wondering whether to buy this house after he died a kite flew low over the garden.....my sign to buy and it's a lovely happy house...x
I watched the Red Kite introduced by the RSPB at Harewood House on the outskirts of Leeds and the edge of The Yorkshire Dales in 1999 and it has been very successful despite the gamekeepers in the Dales poisoning them at every opportunity. And it's still happening. They need to educate themselves.
Oh I wish, LB....they know fine well Red Kites are scavengers...but I guess they don't care what they poison...x
Yes they are, you can see them eating roadkill all around the area early in the morning. The only consolation (not) is they kill more in Scotland!
