Haven't so far. But who knows what the future holds.
Unlikely..

I watched a social experiment where in a gun shop the owner would give the purchaser the history of the gun they were about to buy, how many people it had killed and why. People quickly changed their minds.
I saw that too Ummm very very moving!
As to the OP doubt it - its up to the adults to bring change but whilst the gun lobby is so powerful and they have Presidents that are unwilling to take them on change will not happen.
Interesting that even as they were interviewing after this latest shooting one of the parents said ' this wouldn't have happened if the teachers were armed'!! Frightening thought!
100,000's of innocent people have died, so I doubt it Bob.

What happened in Florida this week, was the 19th school shooting this year, and as the Senator said, we are still only half way through February.

My best guess of what will happen in the next day or so, is that there will be a candle lit vigil, or something similar. Various politicians will make speeches, and then it will all be forgotten about until next week, or the week after, when the next mass murder will occur.

I can't see any way out of this situation, unless the American people rise up and actually do something.

A chilling prophesy perhaps, but a realistic one nevertheless.
Gun law needs change..however will not make an iota of difference until attitudes and this right to bear arms generation has long gone !
In a land where serial entitlement and instant gratification are bred into the people, no chance of change.

It's God's will, apparently.
The kids have had the attitude passed down to them.
Minty...difficulty is that there are more gun culture people being born every day. In Texas, an assault rifle is a popular birthday present for a child. With parents around like that, the gun culture will never go away.
Indeed... 'twill ever be so....sadly...
as Mikey says there will be a vigil held for the fallen
then nothing will be done thereafter, its a terrible waste.
thank heavens we live here, where gun crimes like this are rare..
I know a Brit living in the US who has a Handgun in his house. Purely on the basis that an intruder in all likelihood will be be armed. How many US citizens are armed for similar reasons, the attached gives a frightening statistic on gun ownership across the world in particular the US.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estimated_number_of_guns_per_capita_by_country
The vigil has already been held.
no, there is too much money in guns. they'll happily watch people kill each other with assault rifles and hide behind the second amendment watching their millions pile up.
If Sandy Hook didn't, nothing will, those children are consider to be a price worth paying apparently. In the wake of that event some rules regarding waiting for checks were actually eased.
A chilling statistic I read recently : forty percent of adult US citizens personally know ( or knew ) someone killed in a shooting.
I have just looked at those statistics for gun ownership in different countries. They may be somewhat misleading. For instance, all Swiss reservists, men who have done National Service ( and maybe now women too) have to keep a firearm ( in a locked safe place ) at home, ready to defend their country's neutrality. Other countries may well have reservists in a similar position, so the statistics may look unexpected.
