//Nowhere have I read that people welcome the death of these unfortunate men. What I have read is that if people put themselves into mortal danger in order to carry out illegal activities then it can be of no surprise if those dangers come to fruition.//
You missed this then
//yes really, some vandals got their comeuppance what's not to like?//
As (mostly!) mature adults, it is easy to tut and shake our heads about the stupidity of some young people.
But that should be tempered with the memory that youth brings with it a sense of invulnerability, an ability simply not to see obvious physical danger, and a desire to leave a mark on society, which in some cases leads to acts like 'tagging'.
No-one excuses vandalism, or minimises the effects, financial and social, but as the majority of posters have confirmed, no-one should take pleasure or satisfaction from the senseless violent deaths of any young people.

established a reasonable rule - you had a duty of care to a trespassers - a later case, a householder would only use the back door ( Irish case I think) and when a burglar went thro the front and had his leg blown off ....
and that is why you cant put broken glass on the top of walls.....

What a fantastically crass thread to post, and apparently it was a second attempt.
Says a lot about the poster who revels in the deaths of three people for a minor offence. And is so eager to promote his own stupidity, that he has another go when the first attempt was taken down, presumably on the grounds of bad taste.

just to update - I have learned this morning that the driver who reported the scene at 7-30 was not the first; it was reported earlier by another driver who understood he had seen lineside fly-tipped material. other drivers may have seen, but dismissed same as unimportant. only at 7-30 was a more serious incident reported. 2 trains were identified as possibly involved but tests are so far inconclusive, and investigation continues.
