Today is also Lammas Day, a much neglected festival of the Church, which celebrates the gathering of the wheat, the first fruits of the harvest.

It's an important Pagan day too Jack, it falls dead centre between the Summer Solstice and the Fall Equinox and we call it Lugnasadh. It's the first of our three harvesting festivals and a time to be thankful for what you have and safeguard it.
