Are these available commercially?
I'm not asking because I've any intention of using them, just out of curiosity.

I think it would take a will of iron to stick with this type of diet. But support and the knowledge you could reverse an illness might motivate some people.

Exactly sandyRoe.
Nothing like watching a leg/foot amputation to focus one’s efforts into avoiding type II diabetes.
Sensible diet and a non sedentary lifestyle are key in combating this
I know because 5 years ago I was on the brink myself. Now 5 stone lighter and fitter than I’ve felt in decades I’d urge those in failing health to have a think about their daily choices.

Ive actually done one of these diets. It was Exant diet that I did. Milkshakes, soups and what they called "Main Meals".. the meals were revolting as they should have been sausages, shepherds pie, pasta etc but they were all powdered and you had to add water. They all ended up being the same tasteless mound of grey muck. I tried putting spices, herbs etc in them but it didnt help. The shakes were lovely and I would recommend them but not the meals. It is a very strict diet to stick to though. I was able to manage it for 4 weeks but I was starting to feel quite unwell so I stopped. I lost 1/2 a stone but the medical effects werent worth it.
