I often use the words " eeee when I were a lass" in jest to my Grandchildren , they know something comic (archaic?) is set to follow - but it's all done in fun.
It IS an age thing unfortunately. Generations have said the same and the generation gap ensures the youngsters haven't a clue lol. We can only really refer to our own generation and those who come next will be the same. I guess though theirs will be 'I remember when iphone 23 came out and I queued outside Apple Store for 12 hours...!'
Life's like that, accept it or not..... I ain't old of course....just maturing nicely at an ambient temperature ..it sez 'ere hmmmm!
You might not be ageing as quickly as a guy I used to work with. He was constantly going on about how young people no longer had any taste in music and how their language was almost incomprehensible to him. How old was he? 19!
I still find myself using a phrase that I used when talking to my pupils (erm, dare I say it?) many ears ago. It's "Back in the days when I had a pet dinosaur . . . "
Chris!! What!! Well it takes all sorts it seems. OMG I remember when I was 19..... Almost 100 yrs ago...well....ok I exaggerate ....but getting there pmsl.
