Does anyone know what M.O.T. stands for? I've heard it used in connection with people of the Jewish faith.

Each book of the Torah is divided into parshiot (portions; parshah, singular) that are read each week in synagogue. The parshah's name is the first significant word of that parshah. (Stay with me, here). The first significant word(s) in the weekly reading from Leviticus 16:1-20:27 is "Acharei Mot", meaning "After the Death of..." So, longwinded way of explaining the your word is part of a phrase that is the title to one of 54 weekly readings of Torah...
