Club 500

I recently read about a club 500 where 500 strangers donate £1 a week which is then donated to a different charity every week but I cannot find it now. Does anyone have a link to something similar

500 Clubs are popular with small local charities but I dont know of one that supports a different cause each week. Try googling 500 Club Charity and your county and you'll see plenty local to you. Maybe that will lead to the one you read about.

Maybe I`m cynical but where are the controls on something like this, if you want to donate to charity just do it direct yourself. That way you know 100% of your money goes direct to the charity.

You can have a charity bank account (CAF) where you just write a cheque and it is gift-aided as you make the declaration on the account. Great for the recipients as they get the gift aid without the hassle
