I don't exactly rush at hot dogs either, Bookbinder. I bought a pack of these recently

and it's taken me about a week just to eat 3 out of the 5 in the pack (and two of those were eaten cold on their own, without any bread around them), so I don't think that I'll be winning any competitions :(

I wonder what the prize was though? After eating 75 hot dogs in 10 minutes I can't really believe that anyone would actually welcome a year's supply of hot dogs as a prize! (A guarantee of never seeing another hot dog for a whole year might be better!)

According to Wikipedia, the prizes were: up to 2007, the winner got the coveted bejewelled mustard-yellow belt. The belt is of 'unknown age and value'. Since 2007, cash prizes have been awarded to the top finishers.
