Just sat here this eve and I realised I’m just 6 years younger then my mum when she died, which was young. It’s just really shook me this eve, don’t know why x

My mum died at 46. The particular cancer was so unusual and rare that by the time it had been diagnosed, it was already too late - from initial symptoms to death, via radiotherapy, full forequarter amputation, followed by chemotherapy took 16 months. I will be 57 in a couple of weeks...
My brother is always thinking about this. Our Dad died age 55 yrs, so he has gone way passed that, but our Mum lived to be 84 yrs and my brother is now 83 so he has another year to go to get past that. It's not something I think about. When ya gotta go, ya gotta go.
I'm 4 years older than my dad, 14 years older than my sister...and 12-13 years younger than my mum. My ex spent years hoping to get past his dad's age of 52...he's way past that now.
I couldn't wait to be 70, so many people that I had known and loved, including my dad, had died aged 69. I'm 73 now but that was the longest year for me and I still shiver when I hear of people becoming ill at age 69, especially this year
