all the early half hour episodes were brilliant hard to pick a worst one of those. Possibly "Diamonds are for Heather" - though it's really tiny variations in likeability.
The thing that is not so funny is that some of those episodes are nearly 50 years old and I can remember them being broadcast first time around. At the time I was working in the electronics industry and we used to set a vcr up to record them and watch them in the workshop whilst we worked. Did the same with Fawlty Towers too. We also used to record Chorlton and the Wheelies cos it made us all laugh.
My favourite is the one where Rodney got married, the look between him and Del when Rodders left for his honeymoon was SO moving and showed the love between them.
Anyone else never seen a whole one? Every time those Top 40 programmes are on it seems to win and they show a bit, maybe they just choose the predictable bits!
jobjockey: "Remember the one when Rodney's girl
friend was a W.P.C., another was the ride
with 'nervous Nora'. And a host of other
gems " - The WPC was in " the long legs of the law" - and it's Nervous Nerys, fist seen "Dates" later in "sickness and Wealth"
Love the bit when they carried the old guy out of the pub, thinking he was drunk but he had been overcome from the fumes from the dodgy car radio. They said ‘just throw him on the back seat, to sleep it off’, ‘he’s the driver’ came the answer lol lol lol
sam, I should have got them all, of the 3 I got wrong 1 was because it wanted more than 1 answer and I selected only 1 and the other 2 I really knew if I thought about it for longer!
yes smow, it did but originally it was meant to end after "Time on Our Hands" but they did 3 more specials after that, they had their moments but they are my least favourite, though the last bit of "Sleepless in Peckham" always chokes me up when Rodders shows Delboy his amendment to their mum's grave stone (by now it is and actual stone ratther than fibre glass!)
That was the original idea. Del boy was always striving to be a millionaire and John Sullivan said he'd make it happen so they could walk off into the sunset, with another Sullivan genius line at the end of "Time on our hand" - I'll award a BA for the first person to tell me the line.......
