morning all, i hope you are all well and that you have a good day whatever you have planned. weather wise its not hopeful, but never mind. it could brighten up later, as its still pretty early to know what its going to do.

i have a phonecall to make to the local taxi firm i use, they charged me 3.50 for waiting time, on top of the £14.55 fare to a hospital appointment, when in fact the bloke was late by ten minutes, am not a happy bunny.

A quiet one today Emm, it’s drizzly out there, I’ve a new printer to install which should keep me busy for an hour or so,we’re skipping roast dinners for a salad later ,well it is May for heavens sake :0)

they said he waited 7 minutes, but he was late by 10 minutes, i received a phone call to say he'd arrived and i was downstairs in less than a minute and into the car.

i have to phone them shortly, they have done this before, charged me for waiting time, i want my £ 3.50 back, its not a lot, but for a 15 minute car ride, that makes it £18.05.

Is that 15 minutes there and another 15 minutes back, so half an hour driving altogether, emmie … plus the waiting time? If so, it doesn’t sound bad to me - and I suppose you could say that when he was waiting he could have taken another fare so had to charge for the time? No?

£18.05 just there, it was fifteen minutes in the car. i have phoned them to query the £3.50, they are going to get back to me tuesday..
i took the bus home, its such an awkward journey plus i got soaked on the way from bus stop to home. No he couldn;t have taken another fare. He was as i say 10 minutes late. Had i got an all round trip that would be another £ 14.55 undoubtedly,

Oh, I see. You meant waiting time to collect you from home - not whilst you were at the hospital. I misunderstood. I thought that was a quick hospital visit! Haaaa!

ordinarily i would get a return journey with them, but i didn't know how long i would be at the health centre. I was going to call them from the centre to come and pick me up, but decided against it.

no that was a 7 minute supposed wait picking me up at home...
i know its not a lot of money extra, in the grand scheme, but feel cheated, as i wasn't late.
