As you may have seen in today's DailyMail or are an actual user, how would you recommend these pain away pens?...I am considering buying at least one, but some of the reviews on Amazon are a bit 50/50 split, whereas the DM has nought but good user reviews. So, I thought it best to go to the ABers who always say what they mean, without any possible editing! So, good or not or does it have a "depends on" option? Ta Muchly and Keep Well.

Had one once for arthritis, seriously, a complete and utter waste of money. In my experience that is.
You are probably aware this is a form of TENS machine. Speak to your GP about your pain - you may be able to borrow a TENS machine to see if it works for you before investing in the pen form.

The NHS view is that TENS machines work for some people, but not all and they don't know how much of the effectiveness is psychosomatic or how TENS works.

Many Thanks Shirl (if I may?) a very direct opinion, while at other end of spectrum, Barry's is somewhat open-ended, so it's probably no good trying the cheapest to see if any worth at all or "risk" a referral from GP - who is Brilliant by the way - anyway, bit of a thinker this one...what do you think Sqad?
Yes you may woodelf lol.
i had a look on amazon most are 4 star out of 5 with 1000+ reviews

I think you need to assess your situation and see if any reviews align with your situation and then decide from there because they must work for some and not others
You don't describe your type of pain which partly limits my reply.

My opinion ? It's your money, do with it what you will.

I wouldn't touch itwitha barge Pole or a TENS machine.

Wow, my head's in a whirl, I got the nod from Shirl, better than Burl, as he's the bug man and he aint havin' a ball, cos who you gonna call, the A-b-ers!...I'll now go away and hide in a dark room...but as long as there's a smile raised somewhere, eh!

Sorry folks, back to "normality"...Sqad, multi conditions here, mine are severe arthritis mainly hands, but also knees and right hip and my partner has more than likely trapped sciatic nerve.Considering asking for referrals to relevant practitioners!
