Gulliver, my other half is an immigrant who voted for Brexit! I did not vote for Brexit to stop immigration. I believe in controlled immigration, but basically the issues were much more complex and I am pleased that Germany and France are not in control of us any more. Because basically all they want is total control of Europe. Already the European Army issues are happening again. No thanks!!

It you send anything, even a gift over the value of £35 to the EU the recipient has to pay 20% import duty. As a seller each article has to have a full disclosure customs label and the following steps taken:
Step 1 – Ensure you have an EORI number. ...
Step 2 – Make export declaration. ...
Step 3- Check the tax and duty rates to be paid. ...
Step 4 – Check the rules for your specific goods and destination. ...
If you sell animal derived products as I do (Sheep fleece for crafting) you have to have veterinary certificates for each consignment and a licence from DEFRA.
Thats why I, and thousands of other small businesses, are not selling to EU countries. Thats why Exports have dropped.
Small minded people who voted to leave in the vain hope Britain would become great again and stop Johnny Foreigner infecting your shores have caused this.

Danny, I sell all over the world, mainly through social media. My biggest markets are Japan at the moment. I sell rare breed raw fleece for spinning and doll wig making (very big in Japan at the moment). I have no problems selling anywhere else in the world, attach a customs label and that's all. I recently sold some fleece to Germany, and they had to pay £20 at the post office import duty because it came from the UK. I sent it as a 'gift' because it would have cost more to get all the paperwork and licenses than the item cost, but they still cahrged 20%. Its Europe laying down the law and trying to put off other EU countries from leaving. Total Nightmare for businesses.
