Thanks, Mozz. Almost every compilation of the best of African music seems to include at least one track from Youssou N'Dour ;-)

This crossover track might not have pleased purist world music fans too much but it deservedly reached No. 3 in the UK charts:

Chris, yeah he kind of became the voice of traditional African music after Peter Gabriel featured him on In Your Eyes. Together with Paul Simon, those two gentlemen are responsible for a lot of the popularity of African acts.
