This is the DVLA home page. I used this very link to renew mine and that of "She who must be obeyed".

Just for info:
Each government department and/or agency (such as the Department of Health, H M Passport office or the DVLA) used to have its own website but still with a URL ending in 'gov.uk'. Then someone decided to bring everything together under the 'Gov.uk' banner, so that there's a common layout used throughout. (That, incidentally, has been a total disaster, in my opinion. It's now far harder to find accurate information quickly).
The link given in Barry's post is the old DVLA web address. i.e. it was perfectly genuine but has now been superseded by the links provided by others on this thread.

not being a great or repeat govt website lurker
I found the 3w- gov - uk easy to use
the letter telling you to renew give the proper one
renew and replace - are different ! even for an ABer
I had for some reason get a difft licence when I was 68 1/2 and then have just done 70 old baggaz licence which has its own site
need passport and NI no
very straight forward
all the computers that should or artta hand-shake, do
no instances of throwing ALL your data and telling you to start again
and no instances of recycling you to a page where you have made a mistake - only it isnt and the mistake is on another page
relative govt form heaven
