Wasn't sure where to put this so CB it is.
I watched Lorraine's interview with Alice and felt really sad for her. I've experienced similar feelings in the past after being cheated on but there is usually a point where you come to terms with it and move on. I guess some people deal with it better than others and those in the public eye who break down can sometimes come across as desperate. I just feel sorry for them.
Has this happened to you or someone you know and how have you/they dealt with?

I did have a few moments after I'd walked out to think "my God, what HAVE I done?". I did have someone to lean on for a number of months after, and that helped my confidence no end. By the end of the year I'd bought my own place and felt independent. Mr pasta married the woman he was having the affair with. They have been together 15+ years now.
Yes I was cheated on as many people on here know.
As ridiculous as it might sound it was the best thing that happened to me, despite the fact that the disgusting worthless piece of detritus let me find out 2 days before my nan's funeral and only 5 days after a serious head-on collision.
If I'd stayed with him I'd have never had anything except his baggage, his debt and his putrid morning breath.
Now I have world I always wanted. It takes guts to leave but it can pay dividends in the end.
If reports are to be believed he's gone to look rough as a badger's behind and he's disgustingly obese and has let his appearance and teeth go. Apparently his missus is even more revolting. I do wonder if its the same woman he cheated with? She looked like an oompah loofah from what I can remember...

Anyone can, Tiggs, that's the point. You just have to look forwards, not backwards.
I had some excellent advice at the time from friends, the GP, etc and it really helped me to focus. My confidence grew and I really became happy again. When I started dating again I had the sense and the confidence to walk away from anything or anyone that wasn't good for me and never feared or hated being single. I waited patiently and Mr Right eventually came along. I wouldn't have "settled" under any circumstances.
