Some of you may have seen these before
so I hope it isn’t an awful bore,
there are a couple of new paintings though
that the previous site did not show
and a couple of films and poems too
which may raise a smile or groan or two,
but the whole site has now been redesigned
since my ISP was so inclined
to close down their web space
and leave me with egg on my face
but toasty soldiers or chips will do
to show the rebuilt site to you.

Woodelf your paintings are excellent. The Track and On
a May Morning are my favourites. The colours are so vivid, they are just beautiful. I do like bright colours but I can still understand Mamya being drawn to Moon's Tune, the detail in that is fantastic. Well done :)

This is the first time I've seen your work Woody.
"Tactile painting". I've just had a quick look at the Gallery, and I absolutely love them.
It's not a matter of just being impressed because you don't have your sight. It's nothing to do with that.
I just love the work... full stop. I always wish people could look at art and simply see how it hits them, instead of constantly looking for meanings.

Talking of "tactile". One of my favourite painters is Turner. I was at The Tate once for an exhibition. I've always loved the way he seemed to pile on the oils with a shovel.
I remember looking around to see if anyone was watching, so that I could go up to "Rain, Steam, and Speed" just to touch it.
It's 3D painting. The "feel" brings it right off the canvas.

And anyone who likes John Fahey and Mississippi John Hurt is OK by me.

By heck Mamya, you must have a good memory to remember the original site.
Yes, there was something about Moon's Tune when I was working on it, maybe the depth of emotional detail or the motion of the water, with its heightened waves - or maybe none of these and all this is pretentious nonsense, but none the less for that...there is something which won't let go!
Yes Patsy, that's what I thought to as I was painting it.

Good to know Autumn Pastoral was/is your favourite Pasta, I wasn't sure I had the right intensity of colour for the main, rather empty expanse of autumnalness!...smile.
Builder!...me being mentioned in the same environs as Turner, though he the master, me the plasterer! - I quite agree with your insightful words too! - and as for John Fahey and MJ Hurt, much greetings from one fan to another; geniuses both, Fahey sounding like more than one player and MJH, deceptively simple, fiendishly difficult to play, though with a smile!

...and who's this Lie-in Kingthing, I bet it's that one who keeps on stickin' their neb into my threads now and again, with the odd perceptive homily or not...still, those nice comments calmeth rough waters!
