Galileo first discovered that all objects fall at the same rate in a gravity field regardless of mass. Only the presence of the atmosphere disguises the fact. He dropped balls of various weights from the leaning tower of Pisa to demonstrate. Hundreds of years later the same process was carried out by Alan Shepard on the moon to finally prove the great man correct.

It always amazes me how the great thinkers of history make these predictions with no way of verifying them at the time. He rightly says in the clip that Galileo did have a lot to do with them getting to the moon. I so look forward to when we go back, hopefully it will be in my life time.
Gawd help us, Ich, you're a moon hoaxer? There is no flag in the clip. But I know to what you are referring, fluttering flags and all the other loony tunes stuff explained here:
