It must be the GF diet. Think of a Christmas story, gg.

And it came to pass...
Hope it all turns out positively for you tomorrow , goodgoalie :-)
Best wishes, GG.
Hope all goes well tomorrow.
Best of luck tomorrow GG
I hope they can find and remedy whatever is causing you to be unwell.

gg, I saw elsewhere you were dreading tomorrow - I thought that was just the procedure but understand now. Last month OH had the same and we were delighted to leave the ward with a full written report of the surgeon's findings - it helped so much not to have to wait. I hope you get a good report tomorrow. You are in my prayers for that. Very best wishes to you x
Thanks for all the good wishes - just hope I'm 'cleared out' enough, as I still feel bloated. Que sera, sera
you do feel "uncleared" out but you are and of course the bloated tummy goes with it. I remember it so well. good luck GG for tomorrow
Good luck gg, I hope all goes well for you tomorrow x
Grazie, tutti
The procedure went well, and it seems I had the top Hose-wielder at the helm, as two of the nurses said ' oh yes, he's very experienced'. He reckons it's proctitis (same as 4 years ago) but more extensive, and the coeliac symptoms are confusing things. There was a medical student sitting in, so I could hear the explanation of everything going on; all very calm and thorough.

Biopsies awaited, but nothing else nasty found at the time, and the sedation worked well - more fentanyl than last time! Been given some medication - mesalazine - for the first time, to take for the next month.

Thanks for the kind wishes.
excellent news
Glad it's over. You can relax now..

I am so pleased for you, goodgoalie. I have been checking this thread and didn't want to pressure, you but in Sqad's own fashion - the feedback is appreciated :) x

Chez goodgoalie the 3 senna pills lurk somewhere!
I'm 'monitoring the situation' and have some ibuprofen nearby :)

Happy for you that it’s done and dusted, GG and nothing nasty found. :-)
I had to look up proctitis, it sounds ouchie.

Do they that your diet is to blame? Will you have to stay on the GF diet?
Nobody really seems to know exactly what's going on, as yet, but I will have to stay on GF food from now on, more's the pity.
