How many time will you ask someone to hang out and get rejected before you assume they don’t like you and give up/cut them off?

Depends on the circumstances, the type of rejection given, but having asked once, then given them a second chance, I'd conclude that 'the ball is in their court' now, if they're interested they'll get back to me.
