Hi hun ,yes, there are several ways but the quickest is to pay for a search online ,think the ones I use are about 9.95 and if you know the right name it will tell you within minutes if there is a death certificate on record for this person. You can search for free to see if there are any records wwith the name, but pay for the exact details.
If you know their full date of birth and full name, you can write a letter addressed to them and send it to the National insurance office in newcastle and they will send it to the current address where that person is registered for NI payments thru and employer or any state benefit.
Thank you, Dot! It's a bit complicated really. I'm not entirely sure I want to make contact with them yet, but just to know that I have the option, if that makes sense?
