It's a fact - when you're retired you can always say "I'll do it tomorrow" but of course tomorrow never comes!

True - it falls into the same category as visiting places close to where you live. We lived near stonehenge for several years and didn't actually visit until we moved to Reading.

After nearly 30 years on shifts and long strange hours I still wonder where I got the time to do anything about the house. I now always feel I'm playing catch up and running out of time.

Well, I always said that once I retired, I would win the lottery.

Three bloody years now, and not a sausage.

When you finally want to watch the discs you won't have a working machine to play them on.

I really wanted a particular DVD for Christmas, which I got.

Have I watched any of it? No.

When I reached 70 years of age I declared that I would be up for anything, no inhibitions, no restrictions. Two years later....I've not changed at all.

As a fairly recent retiree I find I have little time for reading or watching films/TV. I'm always going to do that in the winter but in fact the winter is really very short. What felt like months of dark days to do those things turns out to be a couple of wet days in January. Oh to be snowed in!!

I find a lot of jobs I should do just don't get done.  When I was employed I got them those sort of jobs done on the Saturday because I knew it was the only opportunity to do it.

Now, they'll get done 'soon'
