Matt Hancock has been dragged out of his hole today to give a his performance at the enquiry. He's had plenty of time  rehearsing for a stunning show of crocodile tears. :●)

Gagging orders - hard to swallow.

They will never discuss if the whole thing was a complete over reaction.

It's just a money spinner for the lawyers.  er £200m in todays Times

Looks like this thread has been hijacked by the usual culprit again.

Well don't post then.

If you have nothing to add to the OP NMA. This is the News section not your play area.

Again this the news section.

Bet nicebloke1 wishes the fish would bite as quick as he does.

NMA  19.31 Did you misspell Whinging then Newmodarmy

Gulliver You try to give the impression that you are the font of all knowledge, especially with regards to Brexit and Covid. Let me ask you, were you in the UK during the Covid epidemic? Did you experience the hardship that many industries suffered, and for the financial help received? Were you one of the first to receive a Covid injection which saved many thousands of lifes? Were you grateful for the help you received in meeting your mortgage repayments? There are many more questions that could be asked, but I know I am wasting my time as you are well known for not answering questions put to you. And you have the nerve to criticise, and take the mickey out of, somebody who being questioned for the role they played in dealing with the biggest epidemic this country has faced since the great plague.

Gramps 12.01 You ask "Was I in the the UK during the covid epidemic " You are talking about the time  when you had the worst PM in British history in command ..Boris Johnson . Who refused to close down the UK when Covid arrived,  because it would affect the  profits of  his wealthy Business friends. The man who said" let the bodies pile high rather than impose a lock down"The same man who told the public not to hold parties while he and his Cronies  were holding booze parties at No 10.The same man who gave PPE contract worth millions of pounds to his Tory Cronies ..for faulty equipment that had to be scrapped .         No I was not in the UK at that time... Thank god.

"No I was not in the UK at that time... Thank god."

Yes I think we might all give thanks to God (or whoever floats our boats) for that.

Gulliver. With all due respect, you do talk a lot of baloney. Didn't the opposistion support the actions of the Government? Yes there were mistakes made, including Starmer enjoying beer and curry in Durham, with the subsequent enquiry being conducted by his own supporters, including Andy Burnham? As I said we had never experienced any such thing as Covid and lessons were learny in case, God forbid, we are faced with another such epidemic.  One important point is, had we been a member of the EU, we wouldn't have received our innoculation as quickly as we did, in fact we would have probably ben back of queue with a far high death rate.

And as you admit you were not in the UK at the time why do you keep poking your nose in our business, when it has absolutley no effect on you?

NJ 13.32 "This is the News Section not your play ground" Stop acting so juvenile. End of.

oh the irony🙄

Gulliver/nicebloke, which bit of you shouldn't make accusations or infer that anyone has committed a crime without valid evidence don't you understand?  Just understand this.
