Bbc Quiz : Week 48
Hi, all!
Another lousy week for me in the main quiz, with just TWO out of seven this time around:

I did a bit better in the junior version though, with FOUR out of five:

Idiot, idiot daughter with 2 dogs, 2 cats (including 1 that I want to strangle - I'm sure he's got dementia)has somehow been adopted by a black Tom kitten who has moved in and is beloved by 11 yr.-old granddaughter. Apart from adopting a Border Collie pup, it is the worst thing she could do at the moment (grandson suffering from OCD and off school and CAMHS doing nothing for 3 mths.) Grrrr.!
Well, that's cooled me down. I managed 4/7 and 3/5 in the quizzes, so am quite pleased.
Hope all is well with you and your brood. Thanks for these quizzes, they are a kindly marker in the week. x
Hi, Jourdain2.
Can one ever really have enough cats and dogs in a house, I wonder? (I'd happily have loads more but my current trio wouldn't like it!).
Well done on beating me this week!
Assuming that Auny Beeb does her usual thing, we'll soon have the 4-part annual quiz to work through (with 13 questions in each part). So there should be plenty to keep us busy there.
However, for anyone who's really into quizzes, I'm thinking of making the big one I used in our local community centre earlier this month available online. (75 questions, including 15 picture questions and 15 audio ones). That would certainly keep people occupied for a while!
Have a good week!
Well done on those impressive scores, Haras2! A perfect kid this week, I see!
I keep meaning to take Chequers and Moonbeam to the vets' surgery to get them chipped. (Tablo was done when she was rescued after her adventures earlier this year). I repeatedly put it off though because of
(a) the stress that they'll have to endure ; and
(b) the even bigger stress that I'll have to endure!
I hope that 'Lino has forgiven you and that you'll both have a really good week!
5/5 and. 3/5.
My guesses are usually wrong but tonight they weren't. I guess next week it'll be back to normality and wrong answers.
On another subject, this morning my cat DJ, was sitting on top of a cat tower. The kitten climbed up beside her and she pushed him off. It's quite a drop, about 6', but he landed on all fours and seems none the worse for his fall.
Fortunately, guesses all count, Canary42!
(If they didn't, I'd frequently score zero!)
Well done on beating me, anyway!
Someone else who's reliant on guesses, I see! Well done on keeping away from any zero scores, anyway, Sam!
(I'm still not doing too badly for an old 'un, thank you! I hope that you're absolutely spiffing too!)
Well, if you can repeat last week's performance, 10CS, so can I! Here's Manuel again!
Hi, Arky!
There's nowt wrong with an aggregate score of six, in my opinion π
Well done with those decent scores, Sandy!
My cats don't seem at all interested in cat towers, scratching posts, cat toys or almost anything else that cats are meant to like. However I do know that they'll happily leap to the ground from a first floor window, so I doubt that DJ will come to much harm through the actions of the new (and clearly very bold) interloper!
Hi, Rocky!
Not only better than usual but better than me too! (Although that's hardly ever difficult to achieve!).
Well done, anyway!
Hi, Alba!
The same scores as me but the other way around, I see!
You seem to be more grown-up than I am (which certainly wouldn't be difficult!), whereas I'm just a big kid π
I'll probably post the big quiz that I mentioned above (at 2114) at some time before Christmas if it looks like anyone might be interested in it.
