Not seen one so far, very disappointed

Not that likely unless things change drastically,  last year was amazing   they were everywhere, this year he waxwings groups are being bombarded with newbies saying things like what date can I expect them, and wanting to know why we haven't got the high numbers ... Irruptions are very rare, only been about 3 in the last 25 years.  Last year's was the biggest for over 50 years I believe.   However there is a pattern with the northern berry crops,  a very good year is followed by a bad one, this means they are more likely to spread further afield. I am hoping more will turn up next winter if this is the case.

Rowan. Have these sightings been verified and photographed? There's been a few iffy reports.

I saw them last year in Derbyshire...there were hundreds of 'em and also very tame.
