I am living with family currently and my aunt started with a cold last wednesday. She said she is not too bad other than upper resp symptoms but she has stayed in her room since. We have been taking stuff up to her.

As its almost been a week what are the chances of her passing it on if she comes back down from her room? She said the NHS says it can be spread for 2 weeks but ..really?

No Peter but the door does : D

Unless it's Covid or you have a vulnerable household, I would allow her out now! Maybe keep some windows open for ventilation? Are the bodies way of housekeeping – getting rid of all the rubbish! They will boost your immune system for future colds.
